Master Gardener Plant Sale - Newtown
Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9AM to 1PM at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds located at 576 Penns Park Road in Newtown, PA 18940. This highly anticipated sale will include donated plants from Master Gardeners, unusual perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs, pollinator and butterfly plants, native plants, houseplants, shade plants, deer-resistant plants, container plants, and a beautiful selection of hanging baskets for Mother’s Day. More than 80 knowledgeable Master Gardeners will be on hand during the sale to answer your home gardening questions. Your plant sale purchases will support community outreach, local demonstration gardens, and gardening education. Please note: No dogs are allowed. This event will be held rain or shine. Blue Moon Acres Farm Market
Blue Moon Acres Farm Market will open for the season beginning on Friday April 18th. The farm market will be open on Fridays 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm until December. 11 Willow Creek Drive, Pennington. Blue Moon Acres’ mission is to offer the most nutritious organically-grown produce and locally-sourced favorites. Owners Jim and Kathy Lyons have provided organic food to restaurants for thirty four years and want to offer it to their neighbors as well. Inside the geothermally heated and cooled building will be a selection of Blue Moon-grown Certified Organic produce, micro greens, eggs, rice, our own line of Herbarium body care products made with herbs grown on the farm, as well as an array of products from other local vendors. New this year: Cherry Grove Farm and Doublebrook Farm meats, Cherry Grove Farm cheeses, Otolith sustainable seafood, and Bent Spoon ice cream. Grounds For Sculpture’s Annual Plant Sale
Now in its sixth year, From Our Grounds to Yours, Grounds For Sculpture’s annual plant sale, will feature a unique selection of annuals, perennials, and shrubs, as well as a variety of GFS propagated trees, houseplants, and succulent gardens. Our Director of Horticulture, Horticulture staff and volunteers will be on hand during the sale to answer questions and share garden-planning advice. All proceeds support GFS’s Horticulture department. This event is rain or shine. Don’t forget to bring your wagon! We will feature a demonstration on container gardening by the Horticulture staff at 12:30PM. The plant sale takes place on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

Spring Book Sale, Hunterdon County Historical Society
The nonprofit Hunterdon County Historical Society will hold its spring book sale on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside its Archive Building, 67 River Road in Raritan Township. The sale will feature a wide selection of books about townships in Hunterdon County; the history of New Jersey, and other states; biographies; and volumes on the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War II. You’ll also find a selection of rare books and first editions. The sale includes reproductions of historic maps and posters. The society also will have copies of its newest edition of the full-color Beers Atlas available for purchase. Arrive early for the best selection. Rain date is Sunday, May 4. Garden State African Violet Club Hosts 71st Annual Show and Plant Sale The Garden State African Violet Club (GSAVC) is excited to announce its 71st Annual Show and Plant Sale on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Mercer County Community College's Student Center, located at 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, NJ. This year's theme, "Violets on the Move," will showcase America's favorite houseplants—African violets—arranged in stunning plant and design displays. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire hundreds of award-winning African violets, expertly grown by club members and prominent growers. In addition to the breathtaking displays, attendees can browse educational exhibits, interact with experts to get tips on growing and caring for their own violets, and shop for unique and vibrant African violets from both commercial growers and club members.
