That’s right, the planet is heating up and our northeast summers are becoming more like Miami. To beat the heat and feel some relief, Jane says . . .

Go to a movie– remember doing that? Princeton Garden Theatre - is now open AND screening new releases and classics – so cool.  Acme Screening Room in Lambertville will re-open in September for in house screenings, until then check out their outdoor option – Car Pool Cinema - every Friday and Saturday night (weather permitting) – tailgating allowed next to your car – very cool.

Go shopping – stores are a great way to cool down body temps, up your post pandemic style game, and support local businesses.  On my radar these days:

Zoe  for the chicest clothes for women in Princeton (hands down) AND, if you are lucky to catch Kelsey’s new puppy Jasper in the shop – guaranteed smiles for days

Labyrinth Books – yes, they have books galore and comfy chairs but also really fun gifts, too

Homestead – they moved from Hulfish down Witherspoon (near The Meeting House) – a well stocked home furnishing store with something for everyone.  So easy to spend at least 45 minutes browsing and that’s OK because they have their OWN FREE PARKING LOT

Stockton Market – yummy food stalls, fresh veggies, bakery items, artisanal gifts, and live music – it’s definitely more than a farmers market!  Jane says the Market Pizza, gourmet mushrooms, and mediterranean delicacies are worth the drive.

On a budget?  My fave consignment stores are: Princeton Consignment (clothing), Elephant in the Room Design (home furnishings) and the all around big box that never disappoints – TARGET. You can kill at least an hour in that AC cruise ship. 

Eat ice cream – we all know the Princeton "get in line" favorites so let’s try something new.  Good ice cream is definitely worth driving for.  Jane says to chill out here:

Test Drive Cars - now's the time to test drive that Tesla or Toyota 4Runner - guaranteed cool temps and vibes

Buy a pool (cheaply) - most livestock retailers sell stock tank pools.  Here's a youtube video to get you started.

Visit The Philadelphia Museum of Art  and spend hours walking around one of my favorite museums while keeping your body temp just so.
