West Windsor Community Farmers Market Opens Seventh Season on May 1st

The West Windsor Community Farmers Market is pleased to announce the opening of its 2010 farmers market season. Beginning May 1st and continuing through every Saturday rain or shine until October 30th,  the Market will be open on Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm.

All farms that attended the market in the 2009 season will be returning as well as most of the non-farm vendors. Some additions to the Market this year include breakfast and lunch pizzas made by Nomad Pizza from Hopewell, a mobile wood burning pizza truck that uses products from the market as well as other locally produced ingredients in their pizzas and vegan cakes and pies from Catherine’s Vegan Sweets of Trenton. A complete list of vendors can be found on the Vendors link at www.westwindsorfarmersmarket.org.

Community groups and non-profits attending the Market on a regular basis include the West Windsor Arts Council, the West Windsor Bike and Pedestrian Alliance and “Yes, We Can”, a volunteer group that collects food for the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton.

On June 12th, the Market will host a drive to collect used bicycles as well as gently used medical equipment.

The Market is located in the Vaughn Drive Parking Lot of the southbound side of the Princeton Junction Train Station, one mile from the Alexander Road and Route 1 intersection. Parking is free. For directions to the market, visit the website at www.westwindsorfarmersmarket.org. For more information, call 609 577-5113.
