What is all that you ask? Manos del Uruguay Wool Classica drying in the sun in the mountains in Uruguay. We all know this yarn as a store favorite afghan yarn but the story behind this fair trade co-op and all that it does is really amazing. Lisa from Fairmount Fibers who distribute Manos in the US will be here Thursday, October 28 from 12-4 to share the story and lots and lots of the yarn with us. If you have ever toyed with the idea of making an afghan this is your opportunity. Lisa will have ALL the Classica colors with her, lots of sample garments, info about the co-op and several new yarns that they are producing. We will also have doorprizes...yarns from Manos and a free afghan class from us! Make sure to put it on your calendar..it should be a great day.
