The March ornament of the month is here. They are an assortment of wrapped packages like the photo on the left. If you click on the photo it will bring you to the website, scroll down to "Christmas Packages" to see the assortment. They are really beautiful and a manageable size. It's so much fun to start seeing the completed needlework from Jan and Feb start to come in to be finished. If you haven't joined the ornament club yet...these ornaments may entice you. There is no commitment, you can join at any time, buy as few or as many as you like...the more you buy the greater your savings increase! I'm not a big fan of alot of rules...this is just for fun.
On a test basis we have started carrying Vineyard Merino--the merino wool sister to Vineyard Silk. For now we have a sample of each color of the wool to special order. We will place an order each Wednesday and will have the wool by Friday...so if you are thinking of kitting up a project you might want to try this.
The wool comes in the same colors as Vineyard Silk, it is single strand, has a sort of spongey feel to it because of the twist. It can be used on 18, 13 or 14. If you are changing color or going over white you will need to double on 13. We all really like the feel of it...there is a sample to test stitch set up in the store.
And, not to bury the lead, but the next trunk show is here...Kelly Clark Needlepoint Collection arrived today. This is a beautiful line of mainly traditional styled Christmas canvases. The Santa's, in particular, remind me of some old fashioned Santas I used to needlepoint.
