Expanded Outdoor Dining in Town - Temporary One-Way Traffic on Witherspoon

The Municipality, local businesses, the Arts Council of Princeton, Sustainable Princeton, Princeton University, and the Princeton Merchants Association are collaborating to facilitate the safe and successful reopening of the restaurants, businesses and retail stores that have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Municipality of Princeton is repurposing on-street and off-street parking for curbside pickup and outdoor dining. In over 20 locations in the downtown business areas, parking spaces will be transformed into curbside pickup locations. Outdoor dining space will be expanded on Witherspoon Street between Nassau Street and Paul Robeson Place / Wiggins Street and on Hulfish Street. Witherspoon Street has been changed to a one-way between Nassau Street and Spring Street. These curbside pickup and outdoor dining modifications will be in place a maximum of 120 days.
Residents are encouraged to walk and bicycle downtown. Additional bicycle racks are being installed to accommodate the expected higher usage.
