Join us for a weekend long permaculture design intensive where we will explore foundational concepts, techniques, and approaches for small to large scale land management and design strategies for maximizing productive output and minimizing waste. Participants are encouraged to bring their own projects to the table as we devote a portion of the weekend to workshopping and developing your site specific design. At Fields Without Fences, we will explore in - the - ground applications on our 5 year old site, including water management systems, ponds, polycultures, forest gardens, and successional management strategies. This course is outdoors and interactive, so please dress accordingly. Bring a brown bag lunch and water.   Price $150-$175

Reflections is a supportive place to take pause, share reflections and hope. This group is a therapist led community discussion group in which participants are invited to share their feelings, listen to one another, and connect with others who are emotionally impacted by troubling current events. These events may include the political environment, global tragedy, mass killings, global warming, civil rights issues, etc.

With this program, CFR seeks to provide community and emotional support for those who need it. Attendees should join to talk about their responses to current events in a safe and supportive group dialogue, which will be facilitated each month by our experienced staff of clinical therapists. This reoccurring group will meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

This group is free, however, pre-registration and pre-screening is required in advance. You will be contacted by the group facilitator after registration for screening. Over the last three decades, Dr. Karwe's research has covered areas such as Food Extrusion, Microwave and Hybrid Baking, Fortification of Foods with Omega-3 fatty acids, High Pressure Food Processing. Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space is celebrating its 30th anniversary of preserving the Valley's character through open space and farmland preservation, and natural resource protection. Join us for our 30th anniversary gala on September 16 at the Historic Barn of Glenmoore Farm. In addition to a locally sourced menu, live music and an auction, our celebration will feature a hot air balloon tethered to take guests up to view the thousands of acres of land we have helped preserve since 1987.
