Screening of 'Nature Play' at Princeton Garden Theatre,

Thursday September 14, 2017
7:00 PM

Stony Brook Garden Club presents a free screening of Nature Play and a preview of plans for The Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association’s Nature Play Zone. Childhood development experts believe that a child’s early interactions with flora and fauna are key to fostering independence, risk analysis, problem solving abilities and developing fine and gross motor skills. Nature Play portrays the Scandinavian method of teaching, living and enjoying nature that is juxtaposed with the high stakes and high stress American testing culture.

The Watershed is developing a two-acre nature play space where children can explore and experience nature in a landscape that integrates vegetation with whimsical forms and imaginative areas for play and independent learning. Come and hear about the design and features of this creative new space for families. Don’t forget to ask about the goats! A reception with refreshments will follow the screening.  Free.  160 Nassau Street, Princeton.
